This is Fleur:
Fleur is my wife's four-pound, four year-old Chihuahua, seen here, peeking out from under the covers of our bed. Fleur was a genuine inheritance, having become part of our family when my wife's mother died. She is not a yappy dog, quite surprisingly, and may be the coolest chihuahua I've ever known. I would not have expected to like a dog this small this much.
For the last few weeks, Fleur has been quite sick, losing about a pound and becoming jaundiced. She is not eating. We have yet to determine exactly why. Theories range from hemolytic anemia to tick disease. We went to a second vet today to determine what is going on. Given that this is my wife's only tangible link to her mother, I will be spending considerable time and money to try and get her better, so the posts may be a bit sparse. If you had not guessed, we don't have children so our fur-babies are our kids. I am considering setting up a PayPal in her name if anyone would be interested in donating to her. In the meantime, I will be spending time with them and throwing up posts when I get the time.
