Patient: "They wanted like a $20 co-pay! We can't afford that!"
Patient's husband: "Honey, what do you want from Quizno's?"
Patient: "I'll take a large chicken carbonara ($7.79), cup of broccoli cheese soup ($3.19), and a bottle of Pepsi ($1.89)."
Husband: "Ooh, that sounds good. I'll get that, too."
Total price: $25.74 (before tax).

ouch.
i was with a friend this morning, and she was telling me about signing up for food stamps. we were eating breakfast out together-- her treat.
however, in their defense, quizno's is MUCH more fun/tasty than medical care.
Awkward.
But yes, fast food is FREAKING expensive. And also, I would kill for a $20 copay. (Med. student insurance = suckface that costs WAY more than $20 for an office visit!)
Back in the day, my copay USED TO BE $20. But yes, the irony of having $20 to spend on Quizno's but not on your health. Also, I never really said anything, but I probably should: you're one lovely blog. (as corny as this is) http://ahyesplans.wordpress.com/2012/07/12/blog-awards/
