Me: "Ok, we're going to get you over to rehab today."
Patient: "Is Ron coming to get me?"
Me: "I'm not sure who Ron is, but we'll make sure he knows where you're going."
Patient: "Will Ron take me there or will they come pick me up?"
Me: "I'm sure they will come get you in their van."
Patient: "Do they know the way?"
Me: "I'm certain they know the way to their own facility."
Patient: "Will Ron be in the van?"
Me: "I don't think Ron will be in the van."
Patient: "Well how will Ron know where I am?"
Me: "We will call Ron and let him know where you are going."
Patient: "Are you Ron?"
Me: *sigh*
Patient: "Ron?"

hey doc?
is this true ?
i heard of a study in which dementia patients were wired and monitored.
the test subjects sat while strangers walked by them in silence.... there was very little changes in the read outs of their monitors.
when the same subjects sat while family members walked by them in silence....the monitors lit up, even though the patients gave no outward acknowledgments of recognizing their family members.
kind of a comfort knowing that this is true. ~sigh~

Probably. You should look up the YouTube vids where they play music for an old man who doesn't normally speak and he lights up and starts conversing.
Dave? Dave's not here! This sounds like a Cheech and Chong skit.
