Patient: *screams*
Me: "What's wrong?"
Patient: "My defibrillator shocked me!"
Me: "That's what it's supposed to do. It's saving your life every time it does that."
Patient: "Well no one told me it was going to shock me!"

Also, I realise more and more that a lot of doctors don't tell their patients EXACTLY what's going to happen during/after a procedure...
