Having surgery on my sinuses again today. This is the fourth time. Shouldn't be too bad, first time felt like I got hit in the face with a sledgehammer. I'll try and pre-post a few things before they put me under.
Seen in chart: "Patient is a well-developed 21 year-old Asian woman."
Directly below this: "She is easily arousable."

wish you a speedy recovery !
what we want to know is what you say WHILE they are putting you under ( not before ! )

Seriously?? What was that SUPPOSED to mean in the chart? I hope it wasn't meant to be creepy -
I ask because I recently had a procedure on my lower back that required general anaesthesia, and I forgot I wore a pair of skimpy underwear that day and I was totally freaking out. I hope there was nothing awkward written in my charts...or said about me when I was under!

"Easily arousable" in this instance is meant to convey that the patient responds readily to minimal stimulus- ie, they look in your direction when you walk into the room and say, "Hello Ms Jones". It's to show the patient is conscious. So don't worry about your underbritches, anonymous.
