This is disturbing at the very least and disgusting at the most, so be warned. One of the ER nurses told me this one this morning.
ER Doc: "What seems to be the problem today?"
Patient: "I'm worried I might have chlamydia."
Doctor: "Did you sleep with someone who had it?"
Patient: "Well, not someone, but I've been having sex with my dog lately. My son's girlfriend also has sex with the dog and she tested positive for chlamydia so I'm worried she gave it to the dog and the dog gave it to me. Can dogs get chlamydia?"
#whatalovelystory
I'm going to have to make "Can dogs get chlamydia?" into a t-shirt.

why the HELL would this person tell you this? UGH! could have just said, "i need a chlamydia test!"
you win the grossest story award of the year!
Hell, they could of told the truth and said I'm sleeping with my son's girlfriend. What? They thought that would make you judge them?
well, this at least puts a new spin on the term " sicker than a dog ".

why would they even tell the truth... if anything you would think they would be afraid, maybe think doctors would have to report it as abuse just like they would have to if it was a child. or maybe since they are "in to" that kind of thing they already know if it is hipaa protected or reportable..
Now there's a question. You have to report child abuse, but animal abuse?
I have to wonder if it's even come up, given that the average dog rapist probably doesn't admit that to his/her doctor.
Makes one wish it were legal to lie to patients under certain very specific circumstances. "No, dogs can't get chlamydia, but sex with dogs causes cancer in 90% of human subjects, so stop that."
